Who – A unique partnership between two established and respected automotive industry research firms – IntelliChoice and AutoPacific.

What – The 5th Annual Motorist Choice Awards. Winning vehicles were identified by merging owner satisfaction data from AutoPacific’s survey of new car and light truck buyers and IntelliChoice’s empirical Cost of Ownership data. The result is a new measurement – one that represents vehicle ownership satisfaction and overall ownership costs.

When – Winning vehicles were announced nationwide on September 16th, 2010.

Why – After nearly 25 years of important automotive research, IntelliChoice and AutoPacific recognized that a vital piece of information was not available to the more than 10 million people per year that prepare to purchase a new vehicle, until now. By combining IntelliChoice’s proprietary Cost of Ownership data with AutoPacific’s comprehensive new vehicle survey data, the resulting 15 product categories direct consumers towards vehicles that fit their lifestyles and pocketbook.
